With great opportunities, also come common misconceptions. Some people new to the LIMU opportunity may have ordinary doubts or fears, but they’re easy to clear up when you know what to expect. A misconception is simply a false image that can prevent people from doing something. If you have a teammate or prospect in your business who comes to you with misconceptions, you’ll want to learn how to reframe their mindset.
Here are four common misconceptions that you will want to look for, work through and better understand.
1. “I have to know the business well before I can approach anyone.”
Not true. Starting and doing are the keys to success. Dissecting the Prosperity Plan and spending excessive amounts of time in your Back Office won’t get you anywhere. While it’s valuable to know in-depth information, that knowledge will only be useful if you learn how to reach out to people and begin sharing the opportunity. Always stay in Build and Create mode. You’ll learn more from the process of pursuing excellence than from simply speculating or overthinking it.
Don’t ponder, pontificate and debate. Put the pedal to the metal and focus on producing.
Generating new business and increased commissions is a direct result of engaging in income-producing activities like using the LIMU Share App, hosting and attending LIMU Experience parties, leveraging 3-way calls and utilizing proven tools, like our highly-effective interest-generator videos and LIMU University training videos. Remember, excellence isn’t required for growth, but stepping out of your comfort zone and trying is.
2. “I have to get results with the product(s) or business first.”
Not true. Many Promoters start building their businesses and even hit 2K VIP before their initial Fast Track Pack even arrives! They simply tap into the power of the LIMU Share Mobile Prospecting App and sharing their 2-minute story on calls and at Experience parties.
If you want to show people how LIMU delivers results, you don’t have to wait for your own transformation or achievements to demonstrate them.
You can always share hundreds of LIMU Experience stories from people all over the world or our ‘Real People, Real Stories’ video series, and their results will do the talking for you. Whether it’s changing families’ lives financially, earning a new BMW or losing weight, you can read the stories, share the videos and the photos of how LIMU has positively impacted lives around the globe.
3. “I don’t know enough people.”
Not true. Open your contacts list on your cell phone. Chances are you’ve got hundreds of numbers stored, and that’s not even counting the number of people you’re connected to online. If you feel you don’t know enough people, it’s likely you haven’t leveraged all of your resources and communication tools. Have you reached out to your friends, family, Facebook friends, Instagram followers, neighbors, etc.? Even if you have, there’s always new people you can meet each day. Think about all the places you frequently visit and use our handy Memory Jogger in your Back Office Resource Library to build an even bigger list. Get out there and network! Local community events, conferences and meet-ups are happening all over, all the time!
4. “I don’t want to contact my friends.”
One of the biggest taboos when it comes to prospecting involves reaching out to close friends and family. But when you use our LIMU Share App, so much of that initial pressure is taken away with a few simple taps on your phone or digital device. Plus, it’s important not to get discouraged if your friends or family don’t immediately sign up. Some people may tell you “no” at first, only to come back later and get involved. Especially after they see how the LIMU Experience has positively impacted your life. So, you’ll be glad you reached out to all those friends.
“Get the person with the most credibility, take them off your chicken list and go talk to them!” – Justin Martin, 750K Promoter
The entrepreneurial journey can initially be challenging when learning as you go and moving towards your goals. It may take some time, energy and small failures, but you CAN experience success. And with LIMU, that’s never been or more rewarding. You may encounter obstacles, but the only way to win is to stay in the game and not give up. If you’re going to quit anything, quit making excuses and quit waiting for the right time.
