My life before LIMU is actually different than most people. Most join LIMU for the money or to stop working so hard and spend more time with their families. At first I didn’t think I was looking for anything. I didn’t need a job because I work for my fiancé, a very successful high-end Swimming Pool Contractor. Working for him has its benefits, because we travel a lot and have out of town jobs in places like the Bahamas and even Spain and Whistler once a year with the industry. He even hired my ex-husband so we could all live in Nashville and our kids could see their dad more.
My fiancé is a very giving and generous person, a very good businessman. But I just needed something I could call my own, something I could do and still be able to work with him. I say I wasn’t looking for anything else when I was introduced to LIMU, but I quickly realized I was looking for something and just didn’t know what. I wanted to build something from the ground up and be successful like him.
I became a 2K VIP in one day, and 5K in a week. I was on a roll, but quickly learned not everyone you sign up is gonna do what they’re supposed to do. Some people quit before they even open their Fast Track Pack. Some won’t even answer your calls after a while, and these people are supposed to be your friends and family. You will hear “No” more times than yes. You will get frustrated. You will be disappointed. You will get laughed at, even by your own family. None of that matters – what matters is not giving up. Keep moving along, knowing that if you don’t give up and you continue to try, you will succeed. Might not happen as fast as you want to, but I would rather have a bunch of winners on my team and find them slowly, than a bunch of dead branches.
I didn’t go to LIMU LIVE last time because I wanted to be a 20K walking across that stage. Well, I’m still not a 20K, so no; LIMU has not changed my life financially. But it HAS changed my life. It has given me something better than money – it has given me people in my life who are positive-motivated-inspirational-caring-trustworthy … people I can count on, people I can text or call no matter what time of the day. They are there when you need them. They will show up. They are givers not takers. They are like-minded people always wanting to help others. They are my leaders, and now they are my dear friends. They have given me what really matters in life, teaching me how to build healthy relationships with people. Teaching me that there are others out there like us, that it is that simple. Once you learn that, everything else will fall into place. Just don’t quit!
I am Alecia Botteicher and I am LIMU!
