THE ROAD LESS TRAVELED

Not long ago, I was enjoying a bit of family time while watching the movie Alice in Wonderland. My mind was drawn to the book it was based on by Lewis Carroll, way back in 1865. This wonderful piece of fiction is full of some of literature’s greatest characters, the best of which, in my opinion, was the Cheshire cat.

After Alice fell down the rabbit hole to discover how far it would go, she came across this mischievous, grinning cat with the big eyes.

She’d come to a fork in the road and saw him in a tree. “Which road do I take?" she asked. "Where do you want to go?" was his response. "I don't know," Alice answered. "Then," said the cat, "it doesn't matter which road you take."

Think about that for a moment. Alice genuinely wanted to know which road to take. The problem was, she didn’t know where she was going. Then came that profound answer. How many of us don’t really know where we’re going?

Now is the time to decide on some directions by answering a few questions. Namely:

What are your goals and dreams?

Do you want to get out of debt?

Do you want to go on a dream vacation or second honeymoon?

Where do you want to be in 6 months, a year, even 5 years from now?

When you decide where you want to go, it will matter which road you take. Just weeks from now, that road will go through Little Rock.
